Animalcoffee Guarantee of Quality
and Authenticity
With an ever increasing number of
companies claiming to sell 'real' kopi luwak you need
to be careful before spending your money. Animalcoffee
began approximately eight years ago with the aim of
delivering a product that is reliably of a high standard
and unquestionably authentic.
Guarantee
The tests to verify the authenticity of kopi luwak
were developed by Dr Massimo Marcone at the University
of Guelph in Canada. They require specialised equipment
that is not available in Indonesia so any 'Guarantee'
issued by an Indonesian government department is worthless.
Transparency International's Corruption
Indice Table places Indonesia at 130 on a
list of 163 countries and in fact Animalcoffee was
able to obtain such a certificate WITHOUT HAVING OUR
COFFEE TESTED.
In our continued efforts to improve
and upgrade our products we have replaced the original
Certificate of Authenticity with a double page - Luwak
Coffee Information Card.
The sketch of the Luwak on the front
cover was done by reknown American artist Bruce Granquist,
author of several quality books including Fruits of
Indonesia, Temples of Bali, and Balinese Flora &
Fauna.
